Art classes in Nenagh for adults resume at the Pastoral Centre, Church Road, Nenagh, on Mondays, from 2^nd September 2013 onward, 10am –12 Noon.

We encourage and welcome absolute beginners to attend, but improvers and the more experienced are also very welcome.

The classes include, but are not limited to Painting and Drawing. Also, Portfolio preparation for Art College if required.

Professional tuition in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

PASTORAL CENTRE ART CLUB EXHIBITION.

The Pastoral Centre Art Club are hosting an exhibition of their artworks on Tuesday 18th June, 19.30, at the Pastoral Centre, Church road, Nenagh, Co. Tipperary.

The exhibition will run for one week from 10am until 4pm (outside these times by appointment). 

The exhibition will be officially opened by Melanie Scott, Arts Officer for North Tipperary County Council.

Cheese and wine reception, all welcome.

We encourage beginners, and especially those who "can't draw or paint to save my life" but the more experienced are also welcomed. The classes include (but are not limited to): Painting and Drawing, also, Portfolio preparation for Art College if required.

Artistically, the members at present are producing a dynamic mix of paintings consisting of: landscapes, portraits, figurative, abstract and so forth.

·       To provide a platform that encourages artistic expression from members of the public (including absolute beginners) wishing to develop their artistic abilities.

·       To encourage experiential learning whilst at the same time provide tutelage when and as required, in a relaxed and friendly environment.

·       To encourage constructive critique of fellow artists work.

·       To host art exhibitions as a means of displaying the improving skills and talents of the participating artists; also using the exhibitions as a vehicle to encourage participation from a wider audience.
