Got images of work onto a disc and got them posted off to UU. Also managed to get a draft proposal off to LSAD, so it was a productive day it those terms. Went to see the ceramic exhibition this evening; it was excellent. We have some very talented people in the college, and it is good to be associated with them.

AM spent the time filling out UU application form; finally got it done tonight. Seminar in the afternoon; very interesting, two quite different presentations. We are a very polite group; nobody likes to be too critical of each others work. To be honest though, I am not sure that this is at all helpful; I expect it would be more beneficial if people were critical in our critiques.

Continued with the NCAD proposal; it is quite an intense application form, nevertheless I am confident it will be done before the deadline.

Finally finished the Burren proposal and got it sent off today. Katriona has suggested I look at the artist Yayoi Kusama which I did; she seems an interesting character, and her mirror installations are just up my street ! It seems like she has been living in a mental home; Genius/insanity.........artist!!! Did some more editing to the video work.

A.M. Down in Georges quay working on the MA proposal. P.M. "art in the making" Paul Tarpey gave a talk about his work; it was quite interesting to hear what kind of processes a graduate of N.C.A.D. and visual communications lecturer takes in his work. He was a good communicator, and the work had its merits. Seminar in the afternoon; only one person this week. It was interesting how the student used sections of old "badly taken" photographs as a reference for the paintings.
